Taylor Swift's full name has been changed to Taylor Alison Swift. Taylor Swift was born on December 13th, 1989 West Reading Pennsylvania U.S.A. Taylor Swift became an incredibly popular songwriter and singer beginning in 2001, with her story of heartbreak. Swift was interested in the music scene from a very early age. Swift swiftly rose through to the top of the ladder, beginning as a child actor before singing before an audience of thousands. Swift was eleven years old when she sang The Star-Spangled Banner at a Philadelphia 76ers Basketball match. The following year she wrote her first songs and started playing the guitar. Drawing inspiration from popular country artists like Shania Twain and the Dixie Chicks (now the Chicks) Swift crafted original lyrics that expressed her feelings of the tween years and alienation. Swift relocated from Pennsylvania with her family into Hendersonville, Tennessee after she reached 13 and decided to spend her time to courting artists from the genre of country music in Nashville.
